The Camry has developed a squeak in the front end. It squeaks when both front wheels go over a decent bump in the road. It doesn’t when it’s just one wheel. It doesn’t coincide with braking. I’m trying to figure it out so I can fix it. It doesn’t seem to affect driving it just squeaks and might have a tiny clunk with it. My thoughts are sway bar bushing or link related. What do you think and what would be a way to test it before ordering parts? It’s a 2011 Camry Le with the 2.5 I4 automatic and I have about 153,000 miles.

My fiesta has a squeak, only in the cold, that is much the same. I am 90% sure that when it's cold enough the body panels rub on the passenger front corner. But I don't have the science to prove it.

I think your assessment is correct. You could look at the sway bar bushing just with the naked eye, if they look dry and cracked, I would replace them. It may not be the issue but might as well start there.

Sway bar bushings, chassis bushings would be where I’d start.

Can you squirt some kind of lubricant into the suspected bushing and then see if the squeak resolves?

I f the bushing is worn enough that the lubricant actually gets in there, it’s probably replacement time.

Hi,

I own a 2011 Camry LE too. I had the same problem. I had the strutts and bushes replaced. It doesn’t squeak anymore

They bushings aren’t expensive so I might as well start there after a visual inspection. Thanks!

It has started this year about a month ago so it has been cold the whole time.

Is it the “squeak” noise sound like coils being compressed? If yes you might want to look at shock and truts! But i could be wrong.

There's no chassis bushings, its a unibody design.

The front suspension is connected to the chassis via two large bushings Just  aft of the struts.
